Itinerary
Day 1:
You’ll board at 9:00 am with a warm welcome from our crew, followed by a brief familiarization of the cruiser and her safety features.
At 10:00 am, we set sail from Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, heading southeast along the coast to the famous Marino Ballena National Park.
Along the way, soak in the dazzling views of Manuel Antonio National Park, where lush jungle dissolves into pristine sands and arresting rock formations create a veritable playground for soaring seabirds.
Cozy up on our large foredeck and enjoy uninterrupted views of Costa Rica’s famed southern coastline as we continue our journey. Aptly nicknamed “where the mountains meet the sea,” the unique panorama boasts high-rising tropical mountains towering some 2,000 meters (6,600ft) above the Pacific Ocean.
After a fresh home-cooked lunch, it’s time to anchor at Marino Ballena National Park, a unique stretch of coastline made famous for its whale-tail-shaped peninsula — one of only a few in the world. Depending on the tide, choose to go ashore and stroll the park’s undeveloped palm-fringed beach. Or, swim and snorkel around the cruiser. We also have kayaks, SUPs, and a surfboard available. Enjoy the sun, sand, and sea as you work up an appetite for dinner.
At 5:30 pm, our bartender will hand you a zesty sundowner as you revel in the spectacular sunset, an endless stream of color spreading across the sky. Now it’s time for a gourmet three-course dinner, enjoyed either al fresco on the foredeck or in the air-conditioned salon.
While away the rest of your evening at the bar as millions of glittering stars illuminate the tropical night sky.
Day 2:
In the afternoon, we continue our cruise to Bahia Drake, where we anchor overnight. Enjoy the evening ashore Bahia Drake, if you like. We recommend you saddle up to a beach bar for refreshing cocktails and fresh fish with the sand between your toes.
Day 3:
In the late afternoon, we set sail to Caño Island National Park, where we will anchor in a sheltered bay.
Day 4:
Isla del Caño is one of Central America’s premier snorkel and dive locations. Just off Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, coral reefs and rock formations surround the island to create a hotspot for abundant marine life like: Manta rays, Mobula rays, whale sharks, reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, Moorish idols, dolphins, Moray eels, and sea turtles.
This will be a snorkel or diving experience to remember!
Around 10:00 am, it’s time to set sail to Quepos. We will arrive back at the Marina Pez Vela around 1:00 pm.
